1955년 빌보드 싱글 차트 5위, 빌보드 R&B 차트 1위를 기록하며 척 베리 최초의 미국 전국에서 인기를 끈 대히트곡이었으며, 같은해의 대히트곡이었던 Bill Haley & His Comets의 "Rock Around The Clock"과 함께 미국에 락앤롤 음악 열풍을 불러온 곡이다.
