1. 스웨덴의 프로그레시브 메탈 밴드 [편집]

스웨덴의 프로그레시브 메탈, 프로그레시브 록, 멜로딕 메탈밴드이다. Progarchives에서는 이들을 이클렉틱 프록(Eclectic Prog)으로 분류했다. 밴드명 A.C.T는 별 뜻이 없고 그냥 배우를 뜻하는 Act라고(...)

1.1. 음악 특징 [편집]

마치 뮤지컬을 듣는 듯한 느낌으로, AOR이나 팝 메탈 성향이 강하다. 그래서 일부 팬들은 이들을 프로그레시브 메탈밴드로 인정하지 않기도 한다. 하지만 다소 대중적인 멜로디를 갖추면서도 실험성이 곳곳에 묻어있어, 프로그레시브 메탈의 입문장벽을 낮췄다는 평가 역시 받고 있다. 가요로 치면 예전 유영석이 했던 화이트가 메탈이 된 느낌. 같은 성향의 밴드로 마인즈 아이를 들 수 있다.

Jerry Sahlin : Keyboards & Vocals

드러머 Thomas Lejon은 같은 스웨덴 출신 프로그레시브 메탈밴드인 안드로메다의 드러머이기도 하다.
